The first exibition game of the year was a bit of a mixed bag for the Phillies. They got the win 13-6 as J.A. Happ struck out one, allowed one hit, and one walk in 2 innings of work. Newly acquired Phillipe Aumont, the top prospect acquired in the Cliff Lee to Seattle deal, was touched up for 5 earned runs in only 2/3 of an inning of work. Drew Naylor (2 IP, who got the win), Joe Savery, and Jesus Sanchez all pitched scoreless innings.
On offense, only Raul Ibanez and Chase Utley had more than one at bat and each had 2. The offensive star of the night was third string catcher Dane Sardinha, who was 2 for 2 with a single and a double to go along with 4 RBI's. Jimmy Rollins has the Phillies only stolen base and John Mayberry added an outfield assist.
Tomorrow Roy Halladay takes the mound for the Phils for the first time against the Yankess.
