As known by every Philadelphia Phillies fan out there, Cole Hamels' contract expires at the end of this season and this should be the number one thing on the "To-Do List" for Ruben Amaro Jr.

However, recent reports have stated that there have been no word on any deal yet. Whether they don't want to re-sign him or they want to focus on this season is up for you to decide.

John Boggs, Hamels' agent, came out and spoke on the situation saying, "They haven't engaged us, and that's fine. The most important thing Cole can do is focus on winning games for the Phillies and getting them back to the World Series."

Boggs later went on to say, "At whatever time they think is right, they'll probably make an inquiry. But there's no hurry. When they're ready, they're ready."

Boggs seems pretty confident about the situation which is a great sign for Phillies fans. Hamels has been extremely valuable to this organization over the years and currently has the best ERA in the majors among left handers. Bringing back Hamels is a must.
