Real quick because I'm exhausted:

Joe Blanton pitched great.  He had 8 strikeouts in only 6 innings and only allowed a single earned run.  He's been so bad this season that his only lowered his ERA to 5.00 on the season.  The win runs his record to 7-6 on the year.  With all of these extra arms up in September, I'd like to see Charlie stay away from guys like Contreras with a 10 run lead.

At the dish...CHOOOOOCH!  Hell of a game: 3 for 4, a run, 4 RBI and a walk.  A batting average that sits at .300 exactly, an OBP of .399.  The homer was his 7th, 2 off of his career high set last year.  His 43 RBI match his total from last year and is only 11 off of his career high, set in 2007.  Ryan Howard also drove in his 100th RBI, his 5th straight year of doing it.

Tomorrow Cole Hamels will look for win #11 against Adalberto Mendez.  He got by the Phils once.  I don't see it happening again for this right hander with junk ball stuff.  He's 28 and a career minor leaguer.  And don't forget the suddenly hot Phils bats.

I'm sorry, but this is a catch:
